Scalability
Serving many tenants from one codebase only works if isolation is designed into the schema. Get that right and adding the hundredth store costs the same as the second.

I also lead backend teams, focusing on clean architecture, code quality, testing, deployment, and scalability. I’ve architected systems from scratch, including restaurant platforms, marketplaces, and multi-store retail solutions, with integrations like Stripe, PayPal, and Viva Wallet.I believe in building simple, reliable systems that scale.
Six concerns that shape almost every technical decision I make.

Profile first, then fix the one thing that mattered. Most of the latency I've removed lived in a query plan or a missing index, not in the framework.
Validate at the boundary, authorize on every path, and never trust an amount that came from a client. In a marketplace, one missing tenant filter is a data leak.
Payment gateways time out and push notifications get dropped. Retries, idempotent handlers and queued work are what stop a bad minute becoming a bad day.
Business rules shouldn't know about HTTP, and controllers shouldn't know about SQL. Clear boundaries are what let a project survive its third round of features.
Documented endpoints, meaningful tests and readable errors. Leading backend teams taught me that a codebase which is pleasant to work in is one that stays correct.
